Nathaniel Ward, a British physician, discovered that plants can survive without water in closed glass bottles. He created the Wardian Boxes, which allowed live plants to be successfully transported around the world. His legacy can still be seen in plants growing at Kew and around the world.
We were commissioned by Mat Collishaw to create a CGI film for the Royal Botanic Gardens Kew (UK). The movie features aerial sequences of uninterrupted flyover spanning a 24-hour period and ranging from an expanse of ocean through a lush tropical forest to a bleak scene of a desolate desert. To bring this project to fruition, we employed the remarkable capabilities of Unreal Engine along with other software like Maya, 3Ds Max, and After Effects.
